011898 Increasingly larger number of doctors refuse to have anything to do with abortions

An article in the magazine section of The New York Times on Sunday January 18 this year was very revealing as to why the pro-abortion movement has been very worried these past five or ten years because an increasingly larger number of doctors refuse to have anything to do with abortions.

We missed the article perhaps because we were so involved in our new church on January 18, the first full day the church was open. But a magazine called "Access" clocked the article, saying that although we don't realize it "the pro-life side is winning and the future of abortion in America is in serious jeopardy simply because access to abortion is evaporating". Here are some excerpts from the article:

"I guess I never realized I would find performing abortions as unpleasant as I do. I really don't enjoy it at all. Patients look at you as an evil person who is deliberately putting them through a painful procedure. It's their whole attitude that bothers me. I feel like a simple thank you is in order instead of 'why are you doing this to me? - Unidentified New York abortionist

"A lot of doctors don't want partners who perform abortions. - Unidentified North Dakota abortionist

"Doing abortions can make you feel bad. No matter how pro-choice you are it makes you feel real low". -Unidentified New York abortionist

"Abortion is the dirty work of our field. The sad truth is people who moonlight at the clinics are grade-13 doctors They're not the cream of the crop. And it's not because they're committed. It's because they can't find steady work". - Unidentified pro-abortion ob/gyn

No wonder the well-known director of the National Abortion Rights Action League, Kate Michelman, made the surprising statement in the Dallas Morning News October 4, 1997 when commenting on the abortionist shortage "Abortion opponents will achieve their goal without ever having to overturn Roe v Wade
