101101 Planned Parenthood Promotes "Patriotic" Condoms and exploits a national tragedy for cheap public ity and profit

WASHINGTON, D.C. - "First,it was free Planned Parenthood abortions in New York City. Now, it's red, white, and blue Planned Parenthood condoms in Virginia," said American Life League President Judie Brown. "This organization is shameless. It has stooped to the lowest level yet in exploiting a national tragedy for cheap publicity and profit."

According to the organization's web site (www.ppblueridge.org/docs/911html), Planned Parenthood of the Blue Ridge is offering the "patriotic" condoms at its Virginia clinics in Roanoke, Lynchburg, Charlottesville, and Blacksburg. The condoms are available in return for a donation, with proceeds going to the September Eleventh Fund.

"Offering patriotic condoms will hopefully stem the increase of unintended pregnancies while letting Americans display their colors

proudly," said David Nova, president of the Planned Parenthood office.

"What Planned Parenthood is suggesting is utterly disgusting and totally inappropriate," said Mrs. Brown. "No amount of donations can compensate for the fact that Planned Parenthood of the Blue Ridge's so-called patriotic condom makes light of a terrible event and is a desecration of our national colors.
