THE MT. KISCO DRUG AND ALCOHOL MISSION STATEMENT The Council is under the auspices of the Mt. Kisco Village Board. The Council's Board consists of a group of concerned citizens, its Chairman, Melvin Berger, and its Coordinators, Nan Miller, Ph.D., CSW and Dolores Vidal-Roy C.S.W., CASAC. The mission of the Council is to prevent the abuse of alcohol and drugs in the Mt. Kisco community. Using a multi-faceted approach, the Council works with students and teachers in public and private Mt. Kisco schools, the adult and senior population, recreation and youth leaders, the medical and mental health community, law enforcement personnel and the business community. It reaches out to help people of all racial and ethnic backgrounds. The Council attempts to prevent substance abuse in a number of ways: 3.
