062003 Saying goodbye to Lichtenfeld - a man of integrity, leadership and honesty
To the Editor:
It takes a tremendous amount of energy to fuel a district this size. Dr. Robert Lichtenfeld is motivated to do so by his determination and passion for excellence, his tremendous pride in his teachers, administrators and support staff. His enduring dedication to the Katonah-Lewisboro students is heartwarming.
He moves mountains to ensure the success of his John Jay students, many of whom return long after graduation to seek his advice and assistance. He greets them with enthusiasm and sincere appreciation for the opportunity to offer continued support for their endeavors. He elevates educational excellence! His creative collaboration with the board of education and members of the community is his vehicle to success. He is a man of great integrity, and personally holds himself to a strict code of ethics. I'm grateful for his leadership, and his captivating and engaging qualities. What a privilege it has been to serve as his secretary.
I believe in the spirit and goals of the Katonah-Lewisboro School District. Most importantly, I believe our students are our greatest asset. And now it's time for me to say goodbye and join my husband in his retirement.
